Linda is an information technology and project management professional who migrated to Eugene in the 1993 and claimed Oregonian status through marriage to local artist, Robert Canaga. She and Robert are enthusiastic about a broad range of music, dance, visual art and theater. And though Linda maintains she does not possess artistic talent, she has deepened her appreciation for musicians by having taken adult first-time lessons at the Shedd Music School.
There are two things she particularly likes about the Shedd and why she became a board member. The diversity and quality of performances provides big city-sized talent across everything from musicals, to bluegrass, to classical. And whether it’s through the music school, programming or background shared by the musicians or directors, there is an abundance of opportunities for new discovery and learning – all with an emphasis on sheer enjoyment of music.
