Background, professional training and performance history
Keri has been accompanying choirs since the 7th grade and has been teaching private piano lessons since 2002. Her teaching philosophy is very simple: HAVE FUN. She's found that people want/need to have music in their lives in some capacity and most don't want to be anything more than music hobbyists. She encourages creativity and individuality so that everyone finds their place in the music world, whatever that means to them.
Keri is the "go-to" accompanist for Springfield Public Schools, Director of Music at St. Thomas Epicsopal Church and plays whenever and wherever she can, if available. She's excited to be part of the Shedd Faculty and looks forward to all of the opportunities that come with it.
