THOMAS GUASTAVINO (Prez) is studying Music Education with Choral and Elementary Specializations at the University of Oregon. He is a Post-Baccalaureate student with a previous Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from DeSales University, Pennsylvania. He has lived in Oregon since 2018. Previous Shedd roles include Rooster in Annie and Smokey in Damn Yankees. He is proud of his vocal prowess which he has demonstrated in operas, church gigs, and his seven-year membership in the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles. In Spring, he toured Spain with UO Chamber Choir, performing Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles and other choral selections, followed by the St. Matthew Passion this summer in the Oregon Bach Festival. He now volunteers teaching the Parkinson’s Choir with U of O’s Speech Therapy program. He looks forward to becoming a choral and/or general public school music teacher in Oregon hopefully in the Eugene/Springfield area.
