SheSings will be a true celebration of women, featuring the SheSings Showcase on Friday night, hosted by The Sing Off's Courtney Jensen -- one of a cappella's best known female beat boxers & San Francisco's newest women's semi-pro group The Riveters. This evening will showcase some of the best high school, collegiate, semi-professional and professional all-female groups in the country -- including U of O's very own, award-winning collegiate group Divisi (the real inspiration for the new hit film Pitch Perfect) & Eugene's popular new high school group Synergy.

On Saturday night, don't miss a stellar headliner performance, featuring the six-member all-female vocal band Musae (a group referred to as "the cutting edge of contemporary a cappella music -- professional, stylish, white-hot, [and] total rockstars") as well as Boston-based Julia Easterlin -- a one-woman a cappella sensation who harnesses the versatility of the female voice through use of looping technology. Julia is regarded as "a sophisticated musical mind who wields composition, production and performance in one fell swoop".

In between these phenomenal performances, attendees can experience a day full of educational workshops that focus on cultivating leadership skills, developing the rhythm section (bass and VP) of an all-female group, arranging, stage presence, and more! WACA believes in the power of the female voice and spirit. We seek to encourage musical integrity and creativity in women throughout the a cappella community. We aim to educate and inspire, and to create a forum of open discussion, mutual respect and unwavering support for current and future women in a cappella. SheSings will give us the opportunity to work toward all of these aims together, in a positive, nurturing and inspiring environment. Join us!
