The Shedd Institute’s Musical Theatre Training Academy presents its 5th semi-annual revue, "I'll Take Romance". This edition is dedicated to the fabulous songs featuring lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II whose career was most notable for his partnership with Richard Rodgers during the 1940s-50s, but also included important earlier work with Jerome Kern, Rudolph Friml and others. Look for classics like "All The Things You Are", "O' Man River", "Cockeyed Optimist", "If I Loved You", "I Won't Dance", "Getting To Know You", "Honey Bun" and many more, out of a musical theatre catalog that included Show Boat, Oklahoma!, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, The King And I.
