Dan Dunnington

I was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1951. After graduation from Marist High School and the University of Oregon, I lived in various cities on the West coast and East Coast for either additional education or work. My career started with the Wall Street Investment Firm of Smith Barney, and after a year of training in New York, I returned to Eugene where I worked for thirty-two years until my retirement in 2011. Although I lived for short periods of time in New York, my home was always here in Eugene, Oregon.
As the financial landscape evolved over the years, so did my career. Transitioning into the realm of financial arbitration, I became an arbitrator and advocate for resolving disputes within the industry.
Prior to joining the Shedd Board, I spent many years serving on numerous non-profit Boards such as The Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon, The Child Center, Lane Community Foundation Board and The Marist Foundation.
Why The Shedd?
My wife, Christine, and I have a magnetic attraction to live musical performances and theater since the beginning of our relationship. As adults, we enjoyed spending time attending many performances locally, as well as, on Broadway in New York City. Our love for live musical performances and theater stems from a deep appreciation for the artistry, emotion and human connection that enriches life in countless ways.
