ELIZABEtH "LIZZY" DONOVAN is building a career as a professional cellist and educator, Dr. Donovan is committed to collaborating with her colleagues and creating an inclusive and nurturing space where her students can grow. As the cello instructor at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, she works with a diverse population of students and maintains a private studio in Eugene.
Elizabeth recently completed her doctorate at the University of Oregon studying with Steven Pologe. She received her Masters degree at Florida State University, where she was a Graduate Assistant in the studio of Greg Sauer, and her Bachelors degree at Penn State University where she studied with Kim Cook. Equally at home as a performer, Elizabeth frequently performs chamber music with her colleagues and has performed with a variety of regional orchestras. Prior to her time in Oregon, she performed regularly with orchestras throughout North Florida and South Georgia. Elizabeth also spent two summers performing chamber music and studying at the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in Burlington, Vermont.
