The Shedd Institute is pleased to welcome the ever-brilliant Scotish fiddler Alasdair Fraser and the sizzling-talented cellist Natalie Haas back for their 8th Jaqua Concert Hall appearance. Shedd Presents: Sat-Sun Oct 23-24
Evynne Hollens Contemporary Songbook Project
The Music of
Milagro
For its 7th incarnation, the Evynne Hollens Contemporary Songbook Project showcases the music from Milagro, a new bilingual musical, for a live audience for the first time! Currently in development and written by Evynne Hollens, Portland singer-songwriter Anna Gilbert and Latin Grammy winner and celebrated singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno, Milagro is inspired by the miraculous true story of a Latin American woman and her quest to reconnect with her roots. Audiences will get a rare and very exciting first listen to the music from this deeply personal story about survival, love, loss and the complexity of family. [Details]

BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet
Now Hear This: Thu Oct 28
BeauSoleil
avec Michael Doucet
BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet returns to The Shedd for the--what, 15th time? We can't get enough of these guys! Born out of the rich Acadian ancestry of its members, and created and driven by bandleader Michael Doucet’s spellbinding fiddle playing and soulful vocals, BeauSoleil is notorious for bringing even the most staid audience to its feet. We've reserved some floor at the back of the main floor for dancing for this show. [Details] [Tickets] [Dinner]
Peter & Will Anderson

Peter & Will Anderson
featuring Shirley Andress
The Peter & Will Anderson Quintet, joined by Shirley Andress, shine the spotlight on Great American Songbook legend Irving Berlin. Look for Berlin classics like “Puttin’ on the Ritz”, “Let’s Face The Music And Dance", "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better", "White Christmas", "There's No Business like Show Business", "Blue Skies" and more! Squirrel Nut Zippers
The one and only, incomparable, nonpareil, don't-even-think-about-not-being-there Squirrel Nut Zippers return to The Shedd Institute by very serious popular demand. What can we say? These folks are the left ear of the dolphin, the cat's pajamas, President Hoover's pocket watch. You don't show and you will forever regret it. [Details] [Tickets] [Dinner]
