Daniel Cho (rehearsal conductor & artistic consultant) is a Korean-American conductor and violinist based in Oregon, where he currently serves as the Conducting Fellow of Eugene Symphony, as well as Conducting Fellow of Orchestra NEXT and Assistant Conductor of the Oregon Mozart Players and Eugene Opera. In addition to his professional work, Daniel studies Orchestral Conducting as a Graduate Employee at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance under the tutelage of Dr. David Jacobs. In 2021, Daniel attended the Atlantic Music Festival as Conducting Fellow, working extensively with the orchestra and premiering fifteen new works over the course of four weeks.
In 2020, Daniel launched a podcast that he hosts and produces called Con Fuoco. The objective of the podcast is to discuss the current state of the field of classical music and where it is headed in the future. Guests of the show have included violinist Alexi Kenney, award-winning author and historian Jan Swafford, President and Artistic Director of the Sphinx Organization Afa Dworkin, and acclaimed composer Jessie Montgomery.
When not making music, Daniel enjoys reading books on social psychology and history, rewatching the extended editions of the Lord of the Rings movies, and taking walks along the Willamette Rive
